T-Junctions without traffic lights : Better to cross a little away from the road junctions and the turns

Even with traffic lights, esp in areas with few vehicles, be on the look-out for cars which "pass thru the gaps" between pedestrians.

Similarly pedestrians, and those who are ahead of others, have to look-out for vehicles at turns, who also just "pass thru the gaps" between pedestrians.
