All drivers should (my cousins does) :
Do turn off phones as
Freudian Psychology
may become
(Freak accident)
Flukian Psychology
as a result of one' s subconsciousness prompt oneself to immiediately unbuckle to reach out for that phone
(from Hell?).
Do sms when one has stopped driving altogether
so that one's friends know that it is the right time to contact one
(but infrastructural and other bottlenecks may foul up the timing),
so really as the saying goes :
SMS & phone are for really urgent matters, use email instead.
